Anyone have a wiring diagram? Hi etrain. Is it a problem with the heating and cooling features, or only the heating feature? If it is the seat heaters, the most common cause is usually either a broken/shorted heating element in the seat bottom, or a shorted/broken wiring harness in the wiring in the seat back area, due to a lack of necessary slack. I do not have the 2011 wiring diagrams, but we have tech members who may have access to them. Hopefully one of them will jump in and assist you. Keep us updated and good luck. If so, then you have a burnt or broken heating element, which usually occurs in the seat pad. A thermoelectric (Peltier) device is used instead. Could be a wiring problem or a module problem. To get a definitive answer, the DTC(s) are necessary. A regular scan tool won't show any codes for this. FORScan should have that capability. There are others here that are knowledgeable with with FORScan. Maybe they'll weigh in. I must say that there is not a ton of information about these cars online. In addition to the possibilities drolds1 mentioned, I just saw mention of a failed "TED" (Thermo Electric Device) causing failure of the heated and cooled function on the drivers seat of a Ford Fusion Sport (cousin to our cars) on a Ford Fusion Sport forum. In their case, the passenger seat was still working. The TED was replaced under warranty and it fixed the drivers seat issue. etrain Posted December 13, 2018 Author Share Posted December 13, 2018 ok, here you go with how I fixed it. I did not read the other article. The connector was a bitch to get off because of the welding that happened. The solder joints on the rear of the board needed to be resoldered (I did all the joints not just the bad one) Everything else you should be able to see in the pictures. To avoid confusion for all my fellow forum members, who may wind up at one time or another hoping to get a reply from another member on an old thread: 1 - The "Last Activity" date listed under the screen name of a member shows when a member last signed-in on the Lincoln Forum (just as it states). Not when they "last visited". A member can visit the forum without signing in, and there will be no record/trace that they ever visited. 2 - Therefore, in the case of "etrain", his "Last Activity" was October 9, 2019. However, he could have "visited" the forum yesterday, without signing in, and we would not know. Or he may not have ever been back since October 9, 2019. Therefore, we do not know when etrain "last visited" the forum. All that is certain in this particular case, is that etrain's "Last Activity"/sign-in was October 9, 2019. He could have "last visited" any time between then and now, without signing in, and we would not know. Bottom line is, none of us ever know the date when another member "last visited". We only know when they last signed in. That is their "Last Activity" date, listed under their screen name. Hope that makes it easier for Lincoln Forum members to understand. Good luck.
