    • Hello all,   Bought a 2017 Reserve II 3.0TT FWD with 82k miles back in February to replace a car that died.    Came with heated/cooled seats and the technology package.   Chose the Lincoln based upon the Aviator that was purchased for my wife.  Was aware that the 3.0 was the same as the MKZ. Read good things about these motors and decided to take a chance.   I've been problem free since buying.  Changed the oil a few times, tranny fluid once and upgraded the sync to 3.4. Car is easy to work on and drives wonderfully.     Look forward to continuing to enjoy this car.  Daily driver here.    Thanks
    • Long time lurker, first time poster.   This topic intrigued me after I purchased my 2017 MKZ.   I had recently purchased an Aviator for my wife and the MyLincoln app was working for me, so I wanted to see why it didn't work for the MKZ.     Anyhow, after researching I was able to find what I needed to get the app working for my 2017.   I purchased a JL3T-14G087-CM TCU on ebay.  A 1m (3ft) purple 'D' female to purple 'D' female FAKRA cable  NL1Z-19A390-A antenna through FORD   Hooked them all up and deleted my MKZ I had loaded on the app.  Started up the car and drove around for a while. When I came home, I reloaded my MKZ on the app via the VIN and everything on the app started populating.   I now have location, fuel level, lock/unlock, remote start, tire pressures and oil life active and in real time.     No Forscan changes were made in the process.
    • Hi Mike V and welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum. While blind Internet diagnosis is worth exactly what we pay for it...From your description, it is possible your FCIM (Front Control Interface Module) is failing. It is a relatively common problem with the MyLincoln Touch systems. Which is one reason it was quickly replaced by the SYNC 3 system with buttons etc. Theo ne caveat to that diagnosis is a failing FCIM does not usually include "...warning signs ** collision warning not available, check park aid...etc.).   New FCIM's are no longer readily available. If the FCIM is the problem in this case (need further diagnosis to be sure) it is possible to purchase refurbished FCIM's, or have your FCIM refurbished.    Let us know how you make out and good luck.
    • Hi BurritosMaximus and welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forums. My best advice would be to stop by your local Lincoln or Ford Dealership and ask them. Have your VIN handy, as that is how they cross reference the correct part numbers for your particular vehicle.    Ask for the part number and a price. Then you can negotiate price with them, or take the part number and shop online for a better pricing. I do recommend stopping by and speaking with them, as my experience is we get better service speaking face to face than via phone, text, email etc.    Let us know how you make out and good luck.
    • Hi all! New owner of a 2013 Lincoln MKZ.   The one I purchased, the original owner did not opt for the backup camera when it was first bought. There is an aftermarket one installed, but I don't like it. Does anyone know where I could find the camera wiring harness? More specifically, the part number? I can find a new upper trunk lid piece with the cutout for the camera. I just need the wiring   Also, are there wiring diagrams out there for the 2013 MKZ? If so, where could I find them?   Thank you!
    • My 2014 MKZ 3.7L has some issue on the central climate and audio control panel for a while, it goes on and off. Not sure if some wires are loose or a fuse doesn’t work, also at the same time on my dash, warning signs ** collision warning not available, check park aid, …. appears( goes on & off)… any  help would be appreciated !!
    • Hi Lakeside MKZ and welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum. Do you have a 2012 or 2020? Or is it both?   Either way...Yes, there is an Idle Trim reset procedure which needs to be performed when the battery is disconnected or replaced in 2012 models. And a BMS (Battery Management System) reset procedure which needs to be performed when the battery is replaced in 2020 models. The applicable procedures are located and explained in the Owners Manual. If you do not have your hard copy, you can download the PDF version here: https://www.lincoln.com/support/   Let us know how you make out and good luck.
    • I changed the 12V battery on my 2012 MKZ Hybrid. Now the car starts and runs then only keeps running a minute or 2. I managed to limp it home but it's acting up. How can I fiz this?   Someone told me there was a reprogramming needed whenever the 12V battery is changed. How do I go about this?
    • Did you ever figure out what it was? Having exact same issue. Replaced the rear valve cover gasket a few days ago and ever since we are getting this code and rough idle/misfire. Replaced plug and coil on #6 and still having issue.
    • Getting 0Mi for DTE (but it shows the tank full %). 2016 Reserve with tech pack. Bought a TCU from a 2018 Mustang (JR3T-14G229-AG) and a $6 4g antenna from China Also did SYNC 3 upgrade at the same time ($300 from China)   I just installed all the bits, I didn't do anything to the TCU in Forscan. I plugged it all in, put the antenna between the speakers in the rear deck, loaded the Lincoln Android app, put in the VIN, and less than 2 minutes later the head unit asked to accept the request.   I got what Ford Pass has for my 2019 Edge (remote start, lock, unlock, locate, fuel level, tire pressures, oil life, wiper fluid level (really???)), and in locate I got the additional action of flashing the lights and honking the horn.   I guess that at some point the DTE/Miles left will work? It isn't the end of the world, but my eyes go directly to it saying I have 0 miles left to drive, then I have to guess by looking at the fuel level %.
