We have a 2015 mkz hybrid 35000 miles, Recently when the car goes from gas to pure electric i am getting a humming sound that goes up and down with the speed of the car in electric,If i give some gas it will get slightly louder, I really can not tell if the humming is there under gas motor since the gas motor makes more noise it blocks it, Im not sure what it can be, The car runs and rides excellent,Plus i am getting 40 plus mpg, Anyone have any idea what this can be or should it be a trip to the dealer..........
Being in Florida also, I have not seen my rates increase beyond normal COLI. My wife and I have both nice recent year vehicles including full coverage and our rates have been steady over the last 5-8 years. I am in North Central Fl and have no explanation of why you are seeing otherwise
Yes, if you want the discount for using the monitor, you need to use the monitor.
It is simply a reader and does not void or alter your warranty coverage in anyway. That is the correct answer.
Using a "tuner" or other device which alters your ECM/PCM programming would cause warranty issues. The insurance company readers do not change the prgramming. If you do not want to believe us (after asking us), then contact Ford so they can soothe your concerns.
No one mentioned anything about your driving record.
You can use the insurance company monitor and get the discounts offered with its use, or you can not use it. It is your choice.
