Sorry I didn't reply sooner.. Yes, I definitely like my Hybrid.. it is a great looking and driving car.. I notice I can easily get 40 mpg.. and with the eco select button it does kinda slow it down, but of course helps with the mileage.. I definitely like the welcome pad that projects  the Lincoln image on the ground.. And though I have the MLT, it works great.. don't really understand the problems... I gotta agree with , I forget who said it,  that the sync3  kinda dumbs down the look.. oh well different strokes for different folks!... I wish I coulda  got the black label, but... I still like the basic.. and totally cannot understand the critics who says the interior is "cheap" lookin..

so that is my feeling..glad I bought it.. love the looks.. especially at night with all the lights.. :headspin: :love_shower:

I thought the puddle lamp feature was something new for 2016--not a Black Label exclusive feature. Some folks on other threads report they both have the feature on their 2016s. One is Black Label, one is not...

I just noticed after reading the order guide that puddle lamps are now standard on the 2016 MKZ.

Puddle lamps have been standard on the MKZ for years.  The question is if the Lincoln star projection is on all MKZs or just the Black Label edition.

Hmmm... really? I've seen this on the MKC, but never on the MKZ until 2016. And someone in another thread posted their 2016 MKZ Black Label welcome mat. It looks like what you have above, except horizontal bars extend from each side of the Lincoln logo. I guess that's the Black Label part...

That's because they weren't on the MKZ until 2016.  We're talking about  the Lincoln logo lamps here, not the standard puddle lamps that have been on MKZs for years.  My 2010 had them.  They were called "Security Approach Lamps."

They're both puddle lamps in that they shine light on the ground.  The enhanced puddle lamp projects a Lincoln star on the ground instead of a plain beam of light. Like so (MKC shown):

I have the answer. I was right, the enhanced Lincoln Star on the ground lamp is STANDARD ON ALL MKZs for 2016. Confirmed with dealer and also a 2016 MKZ (non Black Label) that one of the owners at our local hardware store drives.
