Where did you get this , how is it afixed ?  Jim

Thanks for your comment, Jim. I got it from 707motoring.com. A great company to deal with. You give them your paint code (extra cost of course) so it's ready to install. Installation is done using pre-applied 3m tape, and a few drops of silicone. The part is so light, it adheres super strong. For me, it's a great finishing touch and makes an improved profile to,an already beautiful car.

Just installed the spoiler - a very subtle mod, and photos really don't do it justice. It gives a nice finishing curve to the overall look of the car. Glad I got it!

That's actually a very nice looking addition.  MORE PHOTOS PLEASE! :camera:

I cannot decide if I like this or not. Either way, very nice looking car. If you don't mind me asking, approx. how much did this run you (painted and installed)?

The painted version of the spoiler was $259 plus shipping (would have to check records for actual shipping costs). I did the installation myself, which was very simple. But like the Home Depot ad says, "measure twice"....

That's not bad at all.  I will be putting your car in my photo editing software to see how it looks in black  ?

Thanks for the info!

Just ordered one in the G1 "Abs. Black Pearl" for my '17, and I'll try and remember to post a pic here. Still cold here in WI so it may be a bit before I put it on, since I'd want some warm weather for the silicone adhesive overnight. FWIW shipping was free, came to $254.95 incl. NY tax which I shouldn't have to pay since I should be paying WI sales tax ? Feel free to PM me if no pics in a month or so, to remind me ?

EDIT 3/17 Quick update; a check of the UPS Tracking number shows it's on the truck for delivery today instead of the 18th. YAY! I'll admit it, any car or motorcycle accessory arrival is like Christmas morning ☺ Doubt if I'll put it on in the short run because of crappy weather for the near future, but I'll certainly set it in place for a picture if it gets here before the rain/snow mix moves in. The little boy in me wants to do it right away, but my heated garage only hold 2 cars and a few bikes, and I can't justify lowering and removing a different car just to play with the MKZ with warm Spring days a month or less away. You know you're doing the correct thing when it's no fun.

EDIT II; well crap, first the coronavirus and now more horrendous news, UPS stopped by while I was getting an oil change at the Ford dealer with my van, and apparently it was sent signature required so they will try bringing it tomorrow. Must not be the regular UPS driver, because he would have texted me and I would have given him permission to sign and leave it in my company's package bench by the very back door. ?

Alrighty, then. Just got my spoiler from 707motoring.com It appears they are a reseller, not the mfr.

Critique so far;

Arrived in just over a week, including shipping from TX to WI, well bubble wrapped and in a sturdy box. When I opened the box and began to cut the tape holding the bw and began to unwrap it, I was hit with a whiff of acetone so I know either the spoiler or spoiler and paint are recent. (note, I made a living for about 20 years working with fiberglass so I've got a pretty good sense of smell for certain things that might go unnoticed to the general public) I mention it, because as soon as I smelled it I went into microscope mode looking for any paint flaws from being wrapped & shipped fresh. I found a few minute areas of bubble wrap imprinting on the paint surface BUT it's black paint and I was going over it like I was judging a car show ? It's absolutely nothing I'd be upset about, and once it's on the car and warmer weather has let it sun bake a little, I could hit it with a 3" foam wheel and some 3M Finesse-it Extra Fine compund. The adhesive foam (3M VHB?) is pre-applied, a very nice touch.

Here's the car without the spoiler and with. Please note it is just set in place and NOT tight to the body. These kind of parts need to be warm when applied so that they can take a set to the contours of the vehicle where/if needed, like a shoe breaking in the first time you wear it. When I pressed down on either end the way it'd lie when the foam tape was holding it snug, that slight gap you see on the right closes right up. In this picture, it's also leaning back just a hair, so the front edge is maybe 1/8" higher than it will be after installation and acclimation. In short, it appears well made, the paint is a great "G1 Absolute Black Pearl" match, installation was well thought-out from the design stage on, and I know I made the right choice for my taste. Weebee styl'n. ☺

The gap is more noticeable here, but please don't fault the product, as mentioned above it's just perched loosely on the trunk lid. I'd press hard to compress the foam tape, then jump back to snap a picture and quickly snatch it back up before the stiff breeze could get a chance to knock it off. Parked in my driveway between other vehicles and with their reflections combined with those of bare tree branches overhead, it's certainly not photo gallery material anyway. Just figured I'd show it right away for other black car owners, since it may be a month before I get the right conditions for the install, including staying warm enough overnight for curing the few strategic dots of adhesive caulk recommended with the foam tape.

Not everything goes as planned. After putting it on and checking everything out, the rearmost edge fits fine, but the leading edge outside corners and a few other spots along the leading edge have just enough of a gap that the 3M VHB doesn't make contact. The spoiler is just rigid enough that pressing it in place sticks it down but it immediately releases from the force, even though everything was scrubbed down with alcohol. Since I had also applied 3 good blobs of adhesive caulk on the flat underside of the spoiler as per instructions, I've had to weight it down and verified with a popsicle stick that the gap is down to the thickness of the VHB (which is thinner than a popsicle stick) and I'll see if it's relaxed into shape tomorrow after a >24 hr. period with 100 lbs+ of weight centered more on the leading edge of the spoiler.  If it popped up overnight and the caulk cured like that, I'd have 3 areas where the gaps were being held open by the caulk and I'd have to pull it all apart to remove the caulk. THAT would piss me off.

The gaps were worst at this corner on either side, held down in the pic by the weight of 50lbs ice melter bags;

Still sprang back up with the front corners having maybe a .020" between the #M VHB tape and the trunk lid. There's a few things I can pursue, but for now I'll leave it be. ? Though subtle, I really do like the way it's carved out slightly above the brake light, to smoothly integrate around it.

Hi 17MKZ. What is the ambient temperature in your area? I am in the Northeast and it is definitely too cool to be performing that type of install. If I were you, i would wait until a nice warm, sunny day. Let the trunk surface and spoiler sit in the sun to warm up, then perform the install.

I know that advice is a bit late, but it is what I would recommend. Keep us updated and good luck.

Understood, it was 60° and did it in the sun, waited a while for a warm day. IR temp gun showed around 80° surface temp since it's a black car.

For what it's worth, I've used VHB a lot and made my living in aftermarket design & mfr. in fiberglass for around a dozen years. The piece just isn't a perfect fit, and is too rigid to easily adapt. I don't know if it's open-molded, LRTM, or even some kind of solid composite piece unless I want to cut it in half. There are adhesives like Plexus that I could use, but it's more important to me that I be able to remove it and restore the original trunk lid appearance with nothing more than various grades of compounds from extra cut rubbing to fine buffing. Appreciate the input, though.
