MKZ Phone Mount Suggestions?

Recommended Posts

Looking for suggestions on a good method of mounting a phone in my 2007 MKZ.  Would really like it to be higher on the dash, right of the steering wheel, left of the clock (more eye level, but not on windshield or top of dash).

If I can avoid screws or adhesive, that would be awesome.

Found the below products so far, but not really sure how well they will work.

Any help would be appreciated :)   If you have pics of a clever method you came up with, I would love to see it!

I have found the following mounts/holders that require no adhesives or screws:

IMHO, the last one that can be fit into the cup holder is the best. Good luck :) .

This car has no great spot for it and its got weird vents.

If you search "universal phone mount vent" you'll see a clip version and a magnetic version of one with a split cone that slides over the vent (I'm describing it because I don't think my attempt to post a picture while I'm on my tablet is going to work). I've ordered it but haven't gotten it yet. Fingers crossed...

I actually found a really good product, which puts the phone at eye level on the dash without any permanent modifications or having damage to the dash...  I got it through ProClip USA.  Specifically designed to work in the Lincoln MKZ.  Looks like they have a lot of car models listed on their website.  Super tight hold and it can rotate from portrait to landscape very easily.  A little bit on the expensive side, but for no damage to the car and how well it holds, I feel it is a good value.

Will probably be doing a video review sometime in the near future.  Will post to here once I do!

I keep mine in my pocket. Safer. SMARTER. Better.

I used a TYLT phone charger and attached it to a foam block.  I shaped the block to fit inside the ash tray so the phone sits at my fingertips.  It blocks the climate control a little but it works good.
