Love my Lincoln!

I have had my MKZed (Canadianism) for almost a month, and I don't think I have ever been happier with a new car... It's by far the quietest car I have driven, and I can't get over the gas mileage. I just finished washing my pride and joy, which of course triggered a shower.

What a car! SO glad I got one!

Nice looking MKZed (nicely said).

I spotted one at a New Car Show and knew I had to own one.

Everything about the car is great.  I do get distracted by all the cool gizmos though.

The pano roof is way cool.

With my new 2015 MKZ, I'm on my 5th Lincoln (previous vehicles being 2003 LS V6, 2006 LS V8, 2009 MKS, 2012 MKZ).  I like this car a lot, great gas mileage, comfy, lots of electronic toys, very dependable, great dealer close to my office.  No regrets!

The MKZ is one of the prettiest cars I have ever seen. I got a 2015 two weeks ago. I am as giddy as a chid with my appreciation of such a fine automobile. I hope you love your car as much as I do.

We were thinking of going to one car when my wife's '13 Buick LaCrosse lease was up and waiting for the many changes in vehicles for the 2016 model year. None of the current vehicles really caught either one of ours eye. I did mention to her that I drove a 2013 MKZ when the new body style first came out and while I was impressed with the beautiful design   couldn't get over no shifter. She mentioned that she would like to try one even though I warned her that it might take several years for two old geezers to learn all the technology that came packed into the Lincoln. Well she and then I drove one  last Saturday and took delivery of the 2016 2.0 AWD luxe (my wife says brown and in some light I think she might have a point) silver on Monday. The salesman Frank at Burdick Lincoln made a lease deal so attractive that we couldn't pass it up and it looks great in our garage. So much to learn! (Can't get the Apple app, MyLincoln Mobile, to download to my Ipad mini though). It seems there is no results for it at apple apps. Anyway the car is really nice and the trunk closing motors blow me away. We have yet to really sit down and find all the things that the car can do. there are 3 or more redundant ways to adjust things and  it seems the voice commands work much better than in any of the cars we have had in the near past! I was impressed with the power of the ecoboost 2.0 liter and I didn't think I would be. The handling is fine also and plenty of power for passing and entering the highway. Can't figure out why this car isn't more popular but don't see ourselves  coming and going like an Altima or Camry.

Congratulations and welcome to the forums.  There is definitely a learning curve with this car but don't worry.  You'll get it.

I happen to love the pushbutton gear selector and had no trouble adapting.  I thought I'd be reaching for a phantom console shifter but that didn't happen.

Geno,  Welcome to the Forum ... I know you can download the My Lincoln app for the Iphone and also the Sync Destinations app... The Destinations app works great just input an address into your phone and send it to Sync... After just press the Voice Command in your car and say services and it will download the destination to your nav..

one other techie thing that I never heard about.. but found out on my '16 hybrid.. the outside mirrors act like the inside day nite mirror.. it handles the bright lights by dulling them down.. I totally understand the admiration of the MKZ..very, very cool and nice!

Iggy,

I have an ipad mini 8.4+ version and when I try to find the MyLincoln Mobile app it says no results for the app and the only Sync destination app is for ford and states that sync destinations  is not compatible with my device = the ipad mini even though the app says ios 6.1 or later. I don't have an iPhone so maybe my wife's tracphone would work but so far we haven't set it up with the car. That part is kind of a bummer as the Buick had onstar turn by turn and all we had to do is press the onstar button and onstar would download the directions to the car. My Camry Hybrid has nav and I use it like my Garmin so maybe I will just have to use the Garmin in the Lincoln. Anyway we hope to get time to pair her phone and drive it a little that is if we don't have to take care of the Grandkids like we've been doing all summer! Can't wait till they all go back to school - all 7 of them!

Rah,

Cool feature. I showed my wife the welcome pad withe the Lincoln logo last night in the garage. At first she thought the kids left a skateboard next to the car and I had to tell her to look closer and then turned on the garage lights so she could see that it was a projection on the garage floor and then turned off the light and she was just as impressed as I when she realized exactly what it was!

Well my wife found that if she used the iphone setup instead of the ipad setup she could download the app to my ipad mini. She doesn't have a smartphone just a basic LG tracphone and we are finding that the services section is not as intuitive as onstar was but we can ask for an operator and speak to a live person re turn by turn nav and get the person to download the directions to the car like onstar did with the buick. We do need to have her phone in the car which we didn't for onstar.

You can input an address to the Nav manually... And also can find what you are looking for under POI...
