zfource
This is a typical problem for the MKZ, Fusion and Milan. Trombone's suggestion to purchase one is the right way to go with just a little mechanical ability. I've already replaced one on my 08 MKZ and expect to do the same soon on 08 Fusion. I assume KennyB has already repaired his, but for others this may be helpful If this happens to you, in the mean time, if anyone has this issue and are waiting for the part to come in, there is a trick for still being able to open the door. Pull the broken handle about 1/2 way then pull the lock lever next to it and it will pop the door open. BTW, enjoying the 14 MKZ just added to our Ford lineup. JimJ
How do I get access to handle to replace?
hermans
You have to remove the door panel. It's a simple process.
UncleBuck
Do you have a write up of it?

drolds1
Here's a video of door panel removal on a Fusion. The MKZ is similar. Here's an exploded view of all the screws and fasteners on the MKZ:
George
Hi neighbor, I bought a replacement latch on e bay for twelve bucks. I drive a 2012 MKZ. The problem is taking off the inside door cover. There are instructions on you tube that leave much to be desired. Good Luck. George Franchino
