JoeBrown
When I got in my car this morning, SiriusXM connected then went mute. Tried another station same thing. Then I noticed in the lower left corner of the screen that it was in the process of updateing the software. The whole think took about 2 minutes. I did not have to do anything. Later while cruising around noticed that some of my reliable "drop outs" were not there. :) So far it hasn't dropped out. Over the next few days I'll see if it has new drop out areas or whatever. I also noticed that it seemed to have better fedelity, or it could be just me and my "tin" ear. Edited March 31, 2015 by JoeBrown

R2D2
BTW for the users of the Weather and Traffic Link info but not into satellite radio, you can just subscribe to those services for around $75 per year.

Over the next few days I'll see if it has new drop out areas or whatever. This 'update' happened this morining. On the way to the wife's doctor, I noticed we didn't lose the transmission in the usual spots. I didn't even consider that there was a connection. I'll monitor to see if this is permanent. Funny, but I never had drop outs in my previous two MKS leases, and the drop outs only started a short while back. I thought maybe the sats had moved and the signals were now obstructed by some power lines.

I believe they have done somthing with the buffers because the drop-outs are shorter, pretty much only 1 or 2 seconds. I still think the fidelity is a bit better. Harbinger
I only had one spot where I'd lose signal, I haven't since the update. I've also noticed that some of the station names and icons have changed.
