My 2016 Black Label build date

Recommended Posts

I was going to use the Add-a-Circuit fuse tap for my fuses, but they don't offer the micro2 fuse taps locally. I'll have to tap into a wired power outlet  for battery power (always on) for the dash cam and accessory circuit wire for the other items i want to install.

Just bought this on E-bay. Micro2 add a fuse tap 5\pack.

That's where I got mine as soon as they became available last year.

You'll find that many of the circuits in this car that you think should be switched power are, in fact, always on.

Yes, I found out that you are absolutely right. The fuses will show around 12v ( even all accessories). I did find a wiring harness in front of the fuse box that has a couple of accessory/on wires that worked. I got all my crap hooked up and they all work fine. I also put on those aluminum caliper covers. Took some pictures of them. I think they match the car's paint pretty well.

Welcome to the caliper cover sub-club..... They look great, but I am a bit biased......

Fuse #36 (Continuous control damping suspension module, auto dimming rear view mirror, heated rear seats) worked for me.  Glad you got everything working that way,  They certainly didn't make it easy in these cars.

  • 1 month later...

I got the VIN for my MKZ bl a couple days ago and the build day is the week of April 20th, so I should have it by the first week of May. It shows the production number to be C001. I don't know if it's the first Blank Label or standard MKZ for 2016? I'm sure there would have been other orders before mine. Can't wait.

Goodbye SHO, hello MKZ.

I'm curious as to how long it took from ordering the 2016 MKZ to actually taking delivery at the dealer?

Hi bdegrade,

I ordered it on march 8th and it came in on May 7th. About 2 month is normal for "order to Dealer".

Thanks. My Fusion lease ends November 18....and I'm now assuming I better order it early September. It's such a sweet looking car. Congratulations.

So a year later...I'm about to be in the same place you were. I ordered a 2017 MKZ Black Label over a month ago and I was told that the Black Label Thoroughbred theme is marked as "late availability." I'm not really getting any definite answers. My salesperson said the Black Label models usually show up a few months after the other trims, and that may be the reason for the delay. But that makes no sense from a business perspective--why delay the most definitive and "best" version of your product? I called one of the Lincoln Concierges one day and was told it might have something to do with availability of the upgraded leathers, Alcantara suede, and wood accents...but he wasn't 100% sure. And a few weeks later, I did an online chat with a Lincoln Concierge, who said he has no knowledge of any delays on the Black Label trims....he said it should be at the dealership 8-12 weeks (or sooner) from my order date. How long did it take you to get from placing the order to having a VIN and build date? I'm coming up on 5 weeks and I still don't have one yet. I'm tired of waiting. :(

I ordered mine at the beginning of March 2015 and it took about two months (plus/minus a couple days).

I took possession of my car on this date one year ago today.

The car is still running like new after 13500 miles.
