bobhamb
I got the VIN for my MKZ bl a couple days ago and the build day is the week of April 20th, so I should have it by the first week of May. It shows the production number to be C001. I don't know if it's the first Blank Label or standard MKZ for 2016? I'm sure there would have been other orders before mine. Can't wait. Goodbye SHO, hello MKZ. robertlane
JoeBrown
For sure you're going to be among the first to take delivery. I look forward to your report on build quality, delivery preparation and when the time comes your service experience. In fact anything you think would be of interest to us. bobhamb
Thanks. The only thing that will be a problem is that the Black Label dealer is 145 miles away. My local dealer will have to take care of everything after I take delivery.

bobhamb
My 2016 MKZ Black Label was put on the train yesterday, so it should be in the US today. It will probably take a week before it gets to the dealer. Robert Iggy Cerami and robertlane

bobhamb
Going to pick up my new car this morning. We'll see if it's what I expect. I asked if it has sync 3, but the dealer says no. I know they said latter this year, but I was hoping. Robert Iggy Cerami
bobhamb
Nice car and nice color (croma flame). I see the side mirrors fold in, but they are not automatic when locking/unlocking the car. I would be nice if it worked that way like my other car.
Myron D. Brown
Thanks. The only thing that will be a problem is that the Black Label dealer is 145 miles away. My local dealer will have to take care of everything after I take delivery. Hello, I'm curious... Could you enlighten me on this situation? Since the closest Black Label dealership is so far away from you, will your local dealership still provide you all the Black Label benefits? E.g. unlimited car washes and 4-year/50,000-mile maintenance? Remote pickup and loaner car for service appointments? When Black Label was originally announced, Lincoln did say that it would eventually roll out to every dealership. But I have a feeling that by the time I order my MKZ Hybrid BL (Summer 2016), my local dealership won't be a Black Label dealer yet. Let me know what you can find out. Thanks. bobhamb
Hi Myron, All I get is the 4-year/50,000-mile maintenance at my local dealership. Hopefully, it's all I need. I could drive 140 miles for the car washes, but it will get filthier driving back and forth. I still can drive there to get my annual detailing. My sister lives on the other side of the state, so I could stop there on the way back. I don't think I get the pick-up and drop-off loaner at my house with my regular dealer. I hope I won't need to! All the other perks should be active. I just liked the color/style differences. My BL dealer was surprised to see MKZ's front grill is a sort of black chrome. Other years it's a grey metal color. The car is peppy with the sport mode on. Over-all, a very comfortable car. O yes, there is a $1000.00 rebate with it too. The dealer had no information on the rebates, loans, updates... when I ordered the car. I couldn't find much, if anything on the internet ether. I took a chance and it worked out. They were thrilled with my trade-in. I saw one of the workers taking pictures of my SHO when I was signing the paperwork on the MKZ. They got a good deal also. The SHO has a Hennesy Package with 460 hp and other goodies.
Myron D. Brown
I hope they honor the Black Label perks at all dealerships soon...or at least give a proposed timeline for expanding the program. Those conveniences are major selling points for me.

WRT free car washes, all Lincoln dealers are supposed to provide this with service, although some of them do more harm than good. bobhamb
Yes, I'll take some photographs. I'm not good at "picture taken". Its a rainy day today, but I'll take some when I get home from work.

bobhamb
I got some pictures, but I don't see how I can attach them. Every time I drag a picture, it covers the whole screen and I can't do anything else. I tried resising, but no luck. I looked for info to attach files from the computer on this site. Any help? In the alternative, you can always upload photos to one of the many photo sharing sites and then post the link here. Coincidentally, on this week's edition of Motor Week on PBS, they had a brief feature on the Black Label MKZ and MKC. They haven't put the full episode on line yet but here's a transcript. bobhamb
Thanks , I will enjoy it. I gotta bring back my daughter's stuff after her graduation near NYC. I'm adding a trailer hitch and already installed a rear bumper protector, large Ford/lincoln cargo organizer and cooler K&N filter-engine ECM upgrade (around 40hp?). I like that the daytime lights are on Without the dealer programming. I don't understand the way the passenger compart.entry fuse box is located in such a poor location (very hard to service the fuses). Yes, I'm adding other 12v accessories (Escort 9500ix, Blackvue DR600-HD dash cam, Iottie One Touch Wireless phone charger. I'm installing the aluminum caliper covers
bobhamb
Woops! I'm using my phone and it posted before I was done. I have Omni-Coat paint coating that will enable applied to the rediclicy high price paint too.

drolds1
It looks beautiful. Enjoy it. I hear ya WRT to the fuse box/BCM. I needed to access it to install my dash cam. What a PITA. I was practically upside down with my legs in the air. Be aware also that these cars use the new micro2 and micro3 fuses, further complicating things. There aren't many circuits that have switched power either. I had to end up tapping into the one for the suspension control. See my post here for more info.
