Robert Iggy Cerami
Last week I traded in my 13 MKZh (34111 miles lifetime MPG 40.7) for a 15 MKZ 3.7 (Bronze Fire - Dune Int) Got the preferred package and the Tech package...Only thing that I dont have from my previous is the THX sound system... First thing I noticed was that the turn indicator stick works like a normal car it clicks into place ...One thing that stands out is that you cant do much with the steering wheel controls like on the Hybrid.. With the Hybrid was able to set the Nav for Favorites,POI and Previous Destinations... This is not possible with the ICE engine cluster... Only thing you can do is show the compass and when you have a destination set all you can do is cancel.... So you have to you use voice commands or pull over and stop.. ... Had the car for a week and I am still driving Hybrid style...Coasting a lot and hitting the brakes just enough to make contact to charge the battery that is not there.. and last but not least when i turn off the car there is no MPG screen that tells you what a great job you did driving.... Overall great car I enjoyed it enough to get another one :) ..
JoeBrown
Just wait until you punch it. Be prepared. Robert Iggy Cerami
StealthMKZ
What was your deciding factor not to get another hybrid? I was at my dealer this weekend while my sister bought a new CMAX Energi, great new colors for the '15 MKZ.
SteveB_TX
Congrats on the new ride. Now, don't come in here and complain about how much fuel that 3.7 sucks out of the tank. :) Robert Iggy Cerami
Robert Iggy Cerami
Reason I got the 3.7 they had over $ 4200 in rebates that were able to make my Hybrid lease go way...Also got a cheaper payment and more miles... Was going in for the Hybrid but they made me a deal I could not refuse :) .. same as when I went in to lease my 13 .. I wanted the 3.7 but the Hybrid had better deals at the time... Steve no complaints YET about gas.. Only been a week.. Going on a road trip with my son the week of Feb 9 should be about 1000 miles round trip.I am sure I will be complaining by then.. Not about the $$$ more about how often I have to stop and fill the tank.. .
drolds1
Congrats. Enjoy it. Yeah, the fuel economy is going to be a shock compared to the hybrid but you'll forget about it when you punch the throttle in first gear. ;) Robert Iggy Cerami
jrc
How was your experience with the 2013? I'm thinking of getting a used 2013 2.0T and the only thing that is keeping me from it is uncertainty about reliability (although it is a certified car, so I'd get a few years of warranty) Thoughts? I can not speak for the 2.0T model ... I can tell that I traded my 13 Hybrid with a little over 34k on it... Did not have any problems at all great car ...
