NV Rick Posted January 16, 2015 Share Posted January 16, 2015 I have a 2014 MKZ-h. I bought it in July, 2014 and since then, I can't decide what color it is. The official manufacturer name is "Darkside", but depending on the light, it will either appear to be dark green, dark blue, or even black. This is obviously not a serious question, but if you have the same color, what would you put on the police report if it was stolen or in an accident? StuntBikeJake Posted January 24, 2015 Share Posted January 24, 2015 I also have a darkside metallic mkz, the color is hard to explain, as well as show in photos, but as stated, depending on lighting it will appear as different colors. Under floresent street lights it appears like a bass boat green/blue, at night or on cloudy days it appears black or purple (or when dirty), in very sunny days it will appear as green/blue again Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Never let it out of the garage, even if it means missing your only daughter's wedding or great grandma's funeral! Call a cab or take a bus, but the shine must be protected! Seriously, out here in the desert, the only time mine needs washing is if it gets caught in an infrequent rain. In six months, it has only needed three washes. It is a mix between dark gray and blue. My other option for color was Bordeaux, which also is a cool color. My wife wanted the two tone light interior, so the darkside is the color that won out. There was no Darkside for 2013. Look at the sticker in your driver's door jamb under EXT PNT. Here's a paint code chart for 2013 Lincolns. Find your two-letter code.
