14mkzhybrid
Ever since I bought this car there is an odd noise in the right rear wheel. When you accelerate hard away from a stop there is like a clunk or wheel slippage feeling in the right rear wheel. Dealer keeps telling me that it is the switching from the electric motor to gas that is making that feeling. Isn't everything (gas/electric motor) all front wheel drive? Is there some sort of "drive" on the rear wheels? Would be great if someone could also steer me to a break- away diagram of the drivetrain so I may better understand how the whole thing works. Thanks.
hermans
The hybrids are all FWD. They have no rear-wheel drive. Sounds like some more of that dealer mojomagic that tends to go around.
14mkzhybrid
I should be more clear on this, as the is no "noise" per say, it is a feeling only. Best way to describe it is like the brake on that wheel lets go late. I will try another dealer as this same one just sent me a card in the mail warning me my tires needed immediate attention as there is 4/32nds of a inch of tread life. Funny, the car had 4500 miles on it at that time!
AZ MKZ h
Noisy ride....when at, let's say, high speeds, there is a loud noise from the passenger side of my car. Easy fix, I don't let my wife ride with me anymore. (sorry, I couldn't resist) Robert Iggy Cerami, KenZ and R2D2
