SteveB_TX
Sooo, I was curious as to the cost of the new 19" wheel design seen on the Z in the Forum Header. I really  them. I about had a heart attack when I finally located them on my favorite Ford/Lincoln parts site... over $1600.00 each! Wow! I guess I will just have to live with my current 19"ers for a bit longer. :whistling: Edited November 9, 2014 by SteveB_TX
AZ MKZ h
The wheels on the Forum Header car do look good and from your research must be made of gold. If you are looking to change out your wheels check into Discount Tire or Tire Rack (both @.com) and do a search of your year/model and "view on your vehicle". Both sites have the MKZ's on them...you can even select your paint color. Free way to see what will look best, and a lot less $$$$.
SteveB_TX
Yeah, I have done that. The majority, if not all, of the aftermarket 19" wheels are, um, :censored: . The wheels I see in the Tire Rack and Discount ads in Motor Trend, etc., look great... too bad they don't fit the MKZ. :gaah:
Jim Ayres
Steve, which wheels do you have on the car now? I love my 19" polished aluminum wheels! bdegrand
SteveB_TX
I have the optional 19" wheels with painted pockets, circa 2013. Don't get me wrong, I like my current wheels. I just like to change things up occasionally. :) Edited November 20, 2014 by SteveB_TX
StuntBikeJake
Factory wheels are outrageous... but the quality is truly higher than any aftermarket wheel..
brentonm74
I work for Ford in PD and those are the wheels for the Black Label MKZ. Pretty nice wheels robertlane
robertlane
Factory wheels are outrageous... but the quality is truly higher than any aftermarket wheel.. The OEM testing is FAR more stringent than what the aftermarket can or will do. Very few aftermarket companies have the capability and financial capacity to do that. Plus, look at the huge influx or wheels coming in from China that look good, but the durability is totally lacking.
Coltopdog
I have the optional 19" wheels with painted pockets, circa 2013. Don't get me wrong, I like my current wheels. I just like to change things up occasionally. :) I am buying a black 13 with the stock 18's tomorrow. Not a fan. I want to go 19" gray or black so I wish I had yours! jmcgliss
I'm a fan of the 2013+ 19" wheels with painted pockets (sort of a two-tone turbine design). Does anyone know if the 2017's maintained the same offset as 2013-2016 models? We're torn between shopping 2015-2016 MY cars versus 2017's and it's likely we'll find a car that meets our specs in all ways except the wheels. Traded in my '14 for a '17 and all the same fun stuff, but the wheels...but I've grown to like them. On the '14, the wheels like you are a fan of were great looking and easy to clean. On the '17 with the V6 they have a special painted style looks like a rotary blade and it would look great on my 'black' car. I couldn't get them to trade out the wheels even offering to pay any upgrade cost. They said it's got to do with the 'packages'...blah blah. All in all, I'm getting used to the new wheels. Unfortunately I'm not certain of the offset...call a service tech for that clarity. Side note...the changes from '14 to now are great. jmcgliss

I use both 2015 and 2017 wheels on my 2017 MKZ that I had redone in PVD Onyx chrome. You can see it in my photo gallery. jmcgliss
Thanks for confirmation, Zalvern. I'll stay within the OEM Lincoln designs. If we find the right car with a set of least-favorite wheels, those can be the winter set.
