I'm getting my temperature Blend Control Motor replaced tomorrow (2016MKZ), and it seems as if the dealer gave my the correct part (GS7Z-19E616-B). My left side temp does not blow cold but the right side does. I'll know soon if the repair is correct. Based on what I've seen the Vent Door motor is the one on the right side behind the radio stack to the left of the glovebox. That's the one that controls the upper, mid, lower vent controls. There's videos on youtube and it's been a common Ford issue. There are videos for the Fusion, Edge, and Explorers. The explorer seems to locate them differently.

Wow, that's not very long for actuators to last.  Does the dash have to come out, or just the center stack?

For reference, I just went through this with a 2005 Subaru Legacy at 192,000 miles, so concerned that Fords and Lincolns might fail sooner.

Ok, I went in to get the Driver Side Temp Blend Control Motor replaced and the Tech stated that it would take 4-5 hrs for approximately $400.

I did not have the time so, I recall seeing a video that mentioned if the left side is not cooling it could also be related to low freon not making it to that side of the evaporator.

Well, I went to my local WalMart and picked up a can of R134 (Super Tech Premium $35), added approximately 2-3 ounces from the 18oz. can and tada! Cold air from all vents again!

I took the $47 part back to the dealer for a full refund.
