You do not mention what model year your MKZ is. However, yes, I have my older 2007 MKZ serviced by a local shop I trust. On the other hand, I have my newer 2018 MKZ, which is now outside the original New Vehicle Warranty, but covered under a LincolnProtect ESP Plan, serviced by my Lincoln Dealer. Good luck.
