mkultra
I totally forgot to put my car into maintenance mode and changed my front pads.....now after the pad change I have a sporadic grind. There is no rhyme or reason to it either....driving straight, turning, slow or highway. Did I just fudge it all up? I just found my bluetooth code reader so I will post any trouble codes I get for it !
jmcgliss
Is it possible a backing plate got bent (e.g. when re-mounting the wheel) just enough to rub against the rotor? Had that on a different car where it was worse when turning.
drolds1
Brake maintenance mode is for service to the rear brakes only. It deactivates the EPB so that it doesn't accidentally engage and cause personal injury. Therefore, it wasn't necessary to do front brake service. There has to be another cause for your brake noise. Did you resurface the rotors and follow the manufacturer's break-in procedure?
