front sway bar bushings replacement problem

Recommended Posts

So i got a 2016 base mkz with 2.0 engine.....and the sway bar was clanking away on the frame. So I ordered 2 new bushings as one was just sliding around on the bar but the drivers side was still intact and functioning (for the most part). So I was able to get the drivers side sub frame bolts out and that one changed no problem. But when I went to passenger side to get those sub frame bolts out....the rear bolt came out but the front bolt just spins all day long leading me to believe its now stripped out?

What are some options to get that bushing bracket off and the bolt removed? Any suggestions would be appreciated !

Nvm.....what I ended up doing was breaking the welded nut loose and it was simply turning in place. Well I couldn't tell from under the car lmfao....so with my trusty 13/16 wrench I was able to get it removed & replaced.

They do not give you much clearance to do jack shit under there, thanks ford! ?
