That was an improvement over my 2014 which had the button at the lower edge of the bumper cover, above the license plate.  You had to feel around for it, and it was usually dirty.

Are those chips in the paint, water spots, or something else?

I never knew there was a button on my 2014!

No chips in paint.  Just wet and sloppy in Minnesota with Spring moving in.

Yup. And it's lighted, so you can see it at night. This is one of my wife's favorite features.  Personally, I wouldn't want to do without that again.

The lighting I did not know about , but then I hardly ever need to use it at night.  ?

I found out about the trunk button when I was trying to figure out how to program my seat memory to my key fob, which I also did successfully.  But now I wonder what other features I might be missing.

Well,  I thought I programmed my key fob to my seat memory successfully,  I followed the steps in the OM precisely and got all the right beeps, but it doesn't work.  It does not recall my seat memory when I approach the car nor when I start it from the remote.  How is this supposed to work?

Hi leftovertrure. It does not adjust the seat when we approach the vehicle, nor when we remote start the vehicle. The memory seat adjustment works the same way as when we get into the vehicle normally. The seat does do not move into the last chosen memory position until we press the start button with our foot on the brake. Which we need to do anyway before driving away when remote starting.

Therefore, when remote starting, once we get into the vehicle, we still must press the Start button (with foot on brake), then it will recognize the keyfob memory setting and adjust the seat.

And keep in mind: If at any time we manually move the seat with the manual adjustment buttons, the seat will keep that position until we press a memory button again.

Good luck.

Yea, it doesn't do that.  It just stays in my wife's chosen position until I push the memory button on the door.  I'll have to try going through the key fob programming thing again.

Hi leftoverture. So just to  be clear: You programmed a personal keyfob. You remote-start the car. You get in the car, depress the brake pedal, press the Start button and the seat does not move to the set position you programmed into memory for that keyfob?

If that is the case, either the keyfob was not successfully programmed, or there is a problem in the system that will need to be diagnosed and corrected.

One other thing...Again, if your wife uses any of the power seat control buttons (on the side of the seat) to move the seat at all...the seat will stay in that position until a memory button is pushed.

Keep us updated and good luck.
