RealGomer
I had some rust beginning on the driver's door at the lower seam. $300 later it's good as new. Unfortunately, it looks lie some overspray from another car in the shop landed on the windscreen Can one of those headlamp cleaner kits be used to remove it? Izzy3906
Why not take it back to the shop and have them take care of it.

Keep in mind that if there is overspray on the windshield, there is very likely overspray on most any surface of your car that was not covered. It is just easier to see on the windshield. That being said...As Izzy stated, first choice would be to take it back to the shop that did the painting and have them correct their mistake. Including any other areas of the car with overspray. If you can not do that for some reason, then buy yourself an automotive claybar paint cleaning kit, and follow the instructions to remove the overspray. Meguiar's and Mother's make/sell good versions. That would be better than a headlight cleaning kit. Plus, you can use it on your paint in the future. Personally, I would take it back to the shop and let them check and clean whatever they got overspray on. Let us know how you make out and good luck. drolds1
I agree with the above. You should definitely have the shop correct this. It was careless of them not to protect the car from overspray. That said, a clay bar will remove overspray from paint as well as glass. You can also use a razor blade with lubricant on the glass. Overspray removal 101. i
RealGomer
Wanted to see what my options might be. I hoping any overspray is from the clearcoat.
