17MKZ3.0TT
I can kind of see both points, but I've already accepted my next car won't be another Lincoln because Lincoln doesn't want to make cars anymore. It makes it less stinging to let go, and I've never used the app anyway since I'm content with the on-board info and a little green light on the fob to tell me my out-of-sightline car started remotely. I spent good money for my full-size 9-passenger van that allows me the luxury of a nimble 400HP panoramic roof sedan when I don't have cargo or lots of friends when I volunteer to being the designated driver. Regaining an app in the future wouldn't make up for losing a sedan. Edited January 14, 2022 by 17MKZ3.0TT
leftoverture
Yes, the decision to abandon the car segment of the market is disappointing but I think it will come back to bite Ford in the arse. Time will tell.

If for some reason your app isn't working take I in and have them look at it. But, your 2018 is all set.
Chris109
I got a quote for the 4g modem of $500. They said that it takes about 90 minutes to program the modem. Does any one know what the programming entails? So, I'm not sure if the 90 minutes is for install and programming or just programming. Multitask
90 minutes seems about right for the time. They have to program it to your VIN, and also have to disassemble the dash

Others have been able to negotiate a price in the $325-$350 area. So shop around any other convenient Lincoln or Ford Dealers in your are for a better price. The new modem needs to be installed and "programmed" .Programming takes a few minutes at most. So it would be safe to assume they are saying 90 minutes for the complete installation and programming. Let us know how you make out and good luck.

Multitask
If you feel you are getting ripped off, then do not buy them .... go somewhere else.... If this is something you feel you need to have , pay what you think is fair... No one forces you to pay those prices... kelshaer and gfong
