ForgedMKZ
Hey guys just wanted to get some advice, I have a 2013 2L ecoboost, the ambient light on the driver door has stopped working. I wanted to buy the part and replace myself by I cannot find it anywhere. If anyone know the part number or anything like that let me know please! I’d rather not pay a few hundred dollars to fix a simple led strip I can replace myself. appreciate any tips!

Go to the Parts Department of you local Lincoln or Ford Dealer and ask them if it is available. If yes, ask them for the part number and their price. Negotiate it down. Then you can either purchase it there, or take the part number and price shop online with the Lincoln/Ford parts sellers. Have your VIN available when you go to the Dealership. I recommend going in person as opposed to calling (if possible), since you can usually get better service in person than over the phone. Let us know how you make out and good luck. drolds1
Knowing these cars, it's probably not as simple as "fixing a simple light strip." If it's anything like the Fusion, and no doubt it is, the LED isn't sold separately. It comes with a harness. That's, of course, assuming the problem is the LED itself and not the wiring from the BCM. Fusion Door LED As bbf2530 says, it's best to visit a Ford/Lincoln parts department. Good call, yeah I def expected to take off the door, if it’s just the light bar and it’s just switching then it should be straight forward, but your right it could always be something else more complicated like the wiring. Thanks for the help though now I got a better idea Of what to do. thanks!
