I NO LIKEY!! Hi 3mKz. It will help if you provide more details as to exactly what information you are looking for, concerning the 2017 MKZ non-Revel Navigation system. Are you looking for technical specs, output etc.? The basics for the 2017 MKZ are: The NAV system was not available on the Premier trim level, was optional on the Select level, and standard on the Reserve and Black Label trim levels. The Revel system was not available at all on the Premier trim level MKZ. The Revel system was optional on the Select trim level. The Revel Ultima system was optional on the Reserve Trim level. The Revel Ultima system was standard on the Black Label trim level. If you are looking for tech specs etc., I will leave that to one of our audio gurus. Good luck. 3mKz3
I am looking for information on this head unit. No one can give me any info. What exactly it is, what it output to, power specs, wiring schematic, tips on integrating something better. All the trim levels, options, all that is common knowledge
TomV
Base system has 11 speakers. Dash and door speakers powered by the ACM. Rear deck subs powered by an external amplifier. There is no HD-Radio. You can purchase a wiring diagram shop manual online for schematics. Power specs are unknown. This forum also has several posts on the base system, if you search. Keep in mind that it is supposedly common knowledge that the world is round, yet some people do not know or understand that. So the moral of the story is...There is often not much "common knowledge" on this bouncing ball of a world we live on. So we try to provide what we can to help other members here. And "All the trim levels, options" etc. are not "common knowledge". And we don't know what the "common knowledge" of you or any another member is, unless/until they provide a little detail as to what it is they are actually asking for. Which was why you were asked exactly what type of information you were looking for (just basics...or technical specs/output etc...?). If you want expert information and tips on "...integrating something better." in your MKZ, many here would recommend you check with Crutchfield and use their online tools (the "Find what fits your vehicle" tool), or preferably call and speak with their product and installation specialists. Then you can take the product information they provide you and either purchase from them, or price shop their recommendations. https://www.crutchfield.com/S-XUhlHpyM043/ Good luck. TomV
If I were to "upgrade" a BASE system, without completely re-engineering the system, this would be my game plan: Maintain the factory head unit in the dash. Replace each door with aftermarket 2-way component sets. (Tweeters and woofers with passive crossovers) Install an aftermarket 4-channel amplifier (50W to 100W RMS per channel with high level inputs) in the trunk near the factory ACM. I would cut the speaker wiring leaving the ACM and connect those to the inputs on the amplifier. Then connect the remaining speaker wiring going to the doors to the outputs on the amplifier. Add a real subwoofer enclosure / amplifier in the trunk. Use a AudioControl LC2i to tap convert the factory sub amp outputs to inputs for the new sub amp. To get rid of the factory equalization, research on the Ford Fusion Forums on using ForScan software to modify the ACM. 3mKz3 and Zondedo
