Power decklid

Heres one ive not heard anyone speak of:

Power decklid worked fine until last week.Went to open it with the fob,nada.Went to the bumper switch,nada.Went to the dash button,same thing,nada.Then went into my settings under"power decklid".It was turned to "disengage switch".But it wont let me choose"engage switch".All it will do is stay on the "disengage switch" option.

Hi NCG. What model year is your MKZ? Still within the 4 year/50,000 mile Bumper to Bumper Warranty?

 

If yes, make an appointment for service. If not, try the remote trunk lid reset procedure, which should be outlined in your Owners Manual (according to model year).

Its a 2014.Only got 34,000 miles thoughNo warranty.Done tried all the reset procedures.Friend of mine has one of the dealer scanners that will check everything.(the local dealer want $95/hr to diagnose,but then wont tell me what the problem is.)
