wharriso
I was trying to figure out how to reach the fuses under the driver side dash when I noticed, directly behind the airbag a trigger-shaped lever. I included photos. Does anyone know what this thing does?

At least in the photos, that looks less like a trigger and more like a cable. It seems to run up under the dash and be plugged into some sort of module/junction. Get back to us and good luck. drolds1
Do you have ambient lighting? That's the fiber optic tube that lights the footwell on the driver's side, not a trigger. Does it light up at night? It should. How do I know what it is? The dealer broke the tip off the one on the passenger side of my 2020 when they were prepping for delivery. I found it on the floor. Nice work! It still functions as intended, though, so I never complained about it. Here's mine in operation: wharriso, bbf2530 and gfong 1

After installing my dashcam, I don't look forward to getting under there again any time soon.

There is both switched and constant power there.

I wouldn't have known what it was either, except for my curiosity about where the stray piece of plastic came from. In fact, my initial impression was that it was something the factory screwed up.
