pic request - 19" wheels on a 2012

Hi, first post just bought my black on black 2012 MKZ.  Starting to plan a few mods and am looking at wheel packages, and will keep the stockers for winter wheels.

I'm looking at a couple of packages on Tirerack, but before I pull the trigger wondered if anyone has pics on this site or they can add of what 19s look like on the 2012 body style?

Also any advice on tire size is appreciated, I'm currently looking at 235/35R19, as it keeps the outside diameter speedo friendly (.4" off).

Trying to fill the wheel wells a bit.  Also plan tint, debadge and blackout the grill. Stock "before" photo attached!

Thanks much!

You can see what the wheel and tire package looks like on your car on the TireRack site.  Usually!  Do they not have a 2012 MKZ in the list?  Anyway, you can always stop by your friendly neighborhood Lincoln or Ford dealership and ask to have the computer reprogrammed for your new wheel and tire size.  I have had it done in the past to great success.  :)

Hi Steve, and thanks.  Yes, they do have the 2012 MKZ and even let you pick the color and thought it would be helpful to see the actual fitment in real life.  I used that tool to find the wheels that look the best and then I googled those wheels and have a bunch of photos on black cars.  What I don't have is what an actual 19" would look like and whether a 18 or 20 would be better.  Great suggestion on the computer reprogram, thanks!

I'm interested in seeing some "live" shots as well! AJG it may be more beneficial to check out how well 19" and 20" wheels look via the fusion forums.

Also looking forward to seeing your blacked out grill. I've considered the same, but felt it would be too much black.

I'm also not a big fan of the rake of the car - the trunk sits higher than the hood, and I'd like to "level" it, and probably lower it all around.  The wheel size upgrade would shrink that wheel well gap, but when we build race cars we'll frequently just cut the stock springs to get the ride height correct and I'm considering doing this to the rear springs - figure it's probably a cut of one coil or so. Then I'll deal with the wheels when I know the new ride height / wheel well gap.  I see that H&R sells an aftermarket lowering kit and I've read specs on the offered sport package, either of which might be a better solution in the long run.

Appreciate any photos of the 2012 body style with either the sport package or the H&R springs.  And still appreciate larger wheel size pics (18", 19" or 20").

I found photos on H&R's site of the 2007 MKZ lowered and with 20s.  I think the wells are close to the same size between a 2007 and 2012. http://www.hrsprings.com/projects/detail/2007_lincoln_mkz/#  I think this guy did a nice job with the blackout grill as well.

Can someone confirm these are the 18" x 7.5" sport package wheels.  http://www.cstatic-i...x600/271264.jpg

Can someone confirm that a 235/50 R19 will work in the 2010-2012 with stock non-sport springs without rubbing?

I can go with a 225/40 R19 and keep the speedo accurate, but I'm worried about making the ride harsh.  Opinions there are appreciated as well.

Appreciate pics as well if ya got one.
