adobian
I am getting a buzzing noise under the hood every time I step on the brake. It goes on and off and it repeats the cycle over and over whenever the brake pedal is depressed. Is this the sign the vacuum pump is going out? 17MKZ3.0TT
Usually a buzzing noise from a braking system is an ABS malfunction. As noted, nothing to guess with since it's brake-related. All yucks aside, if your brakes failed and you injured someone, just having this posted yet not checked by a dealer would open you up to possibly huge liabilities beyond simple car failure. Sigh, that's why we have dealerships with trained techs.
adobian
I asked one mechanic and he said it's the vacuum pump for the brake booster.
