According to your Owners Manual (find the correct page in the Index under "Windows"): "Press the control to lock or unlock the rear window controls. It illuminates when you lock the rear window controls." Not sure why yours stay on no matter what. Have you checked to see if the switch works to lock/unlock the rear windows otherwise? I've never used mine, but will check it tonight to see how it operates and post back tomorrow. Le us know how you make out and good luck.
