Lincoln Way and Other Stuff

Setup my Lincoln Way app on my phone and connected the car today. I'm still trying to figure out everything it does but at least I got started with it.

I also had it back to the dealer today because they owed me a trunk lid adjustment.  My trunk lid was misaligned causing a gap in the front driver side corner. So I had to drive a loaner today. They gave me a Ford Escape, which wasn't that bad, but it sure was nice to get back in my Mkz.

My trunk lid is now properly fit and I sure am starting to appreciate the Sync 3 controls. Definitely an upgrade.

Oh....and you should see the ridiculous price they are asking for my old 2014. I'm guessing it's going to be sitting there a while!

I just found our 2018 C-Max lease return on a different dealer lot in the Midwest, with 42,000 on the clock and 48.9mpg still displayed on the dash. Photos showed $20K on the windshield reduced to $19.600.  Seems pretty steep for a car most people are unfamiliar with. Shoulda bought out the lease and kept it or re-sold it.  Ford and Lincoln dealers in Chicago's north suburbs have near-empty lots.

So yesterday my wife and I were having lunch at our favorite German restaurant. It happens to be in the basement of a brick building. Just for the heck of it, as we prepared to leave, I opened the Lincoln Way app and used it to start the car. It worked. Pretty cool and will come in very handy this coming winter.

The Lincoln Way App is awesome. You can check your oil change range, tire pressure, see where it is if it goes missing and is parked, and in the Message Center you can be immediately notified if any thing is going on with the car. It goes very in depth as far as the level of sophistication of the notifications. I would go into the app permission and ensure you have sound on so that you can know immediately if there is an issue.
