Hi, folks,

I bought my 2020 MKZ hybrid (gray metallic, black leather interior) in August 2020. I had been looking for a hybrid from an American company and was looking at the Ford Fusion. When I priced it with the options I wanted, I realized the MKZ was about the same price.

I'm overjoyed with it. The adaptive cruise makes it feel like a spaceship.

I replaced the floormats and put in a trunk liner (both from WeatherTech). I also replaced the tires when I realized how terrible the stock Michelins were in bad weather. I went with Vredestein Quatrac Pros, and those are pretty great, too.

I found this forum because I was having a hung software update from the automated updates. I eventually reset SYNC3 to defaults and updated with a USB to get that unstuck. Car's in great shape, and even after a year, it's incredibly classy and fun to drive.

Welcome bort . Great choices . I am going for my third MKZh ( 2013,16 now 18 ) . I am right with you on the floor mats , the driver side mat is as big as a hanky ( Lincoln could have done a lot better here ) ,weather techs ( I went with Huskys ) will cover much more of the floor and are all weather , I never liked the tires , I replaced them on all the cars after the first winter . I am currently looking at the Miches cross climate 2 ( a lot of snow last winter ) , but seriously considering the Vredestein ( fantastic price quality tire ) . I am amazed that these cars provide great looks , comfort and technology and on top get 42 mpg on regular gas . This group ( 2017 - 20 ) will be the last of the MKZ line and will go down as a classic , just look at the ratings for these years in consumer , all arrows pointing up .  Any way this is a great group of folks here with a lot of knowledge that will help you with any questions about the Z .  Lots of luck and enjoyment , try not to smile too much as you pass the $3.00 and up gas stations .  Jim

bort tire question. The Vredestein Pro a/w , some report the noise level is high , what do you think ( hear ) about this issue ? Jim

I can’t say I’ve noticed, but I am not driving that much. I remember reading that on Tire Rack, too. It’s certainly not too pronounced, but I can imagine car enthusiasts more sensitive than I am.
