Travel Link...Not Available

Recommended Posts

2020 Lincoln MKZ Hybrid...getting this message on my Travel Link intermittently.  Audio and Movies show subscribed, all other travel link options are "not available".  Get in the car the next day...all subscribed and work.

Just got off the phone with SiriusXM tech support and they said they are getting reports of this on 2019 and newer Ford autos...there is no fix from them...it is a Ford software problem.

Had my car at the dealer yesterday and they were clueless...their fix was to subscribe to Sirius audio.

So am stuck with a hit or miss on Travel Link.

Anyone else with this problem or any fixes??

Having the same issue  with my 2020 3.0 ....I do have SiriusXm  audio so that is not the issue... I noticed mine started acting up after my last Sync Update... called Sirius 3 different times and on 2 of those calls they also told me it was also a dealer issue.. I also did a master reset and did not fix the problem... going in for a service in a couple weeks and going to have my service guy look into it...I will let you know what they say..

Hi gang. There have been reports of these SiriusXM issues after the latest SYNC 3.4 update. It seems Lincoln/Ford are working on a fix.

In the meantime, I have also heard that Dealers have been told to revert vehicles to the previous version of SYNC 3.4, and that Lincoln/Ford has provided a USB Flash drive to the Dealers in order to do so.

So, you may want to ask about that when you call for a service appointment.

Keep in mind, this is what I have heard, not what I know through first hand experience.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

As far as I know, the update is out for 3.4

That did not fix the problem.. for me it only works after first start of the morning and even then it takes about 15 minutes of driving before it shows any traffic on the Sync Map.. Living in So Cal the traffic showing up is very import for me...

Hi RIC. It was hoped that the latest SYNC 3.4 update would fix the Travel Link issue (as Multitask mentioned). So, my advice would be: If you have gone to the Lincoln SYNC 3 update website and have the latest version of SYNC 3.4 installed, then you will need to call for a service appointment.

Inform them that your Travel Link subscription is inoperative. In fact, physically show them it is inoperative the day you bring your car in for service. In the mean time, you can also call Lincoln Concierge and let them know about your continuing issue.

Keep us updated and good luck.

Hmm... that was something that I had noticed, but because I use google maps for nav, it was not a big deal.  Once the newer version was installed, the traffic for Sync 3.4 was sooner (less than 30 seconds)

I'm on 21098 of 3.4 now...

if you are the same , try a factory reset, and if it's still a long delay, let the Concierge know about it... maybe they have more fixes, or can setup the makers to know it's not good for you.  ?

Got a service coming up in a couple weeks and will show them the issue...  I do use Apple Car play most of the time for my Nav.. But I am one of those people who has to have everything working right in the car regardless if its something I use or not.. Thank you for your replies

Hi RIC. I agree. You paid a lot of money for your car. Everything should work properly, whether you use it regularly or not. Have Lincoln take care of it.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.
