mkz12_jb
I have a 2012 MKZ with champagne metallic clearcoat. As another user mentioned, it's gorgeous but high maintenance. I don't have garage space to park my vehicle so it is in my driveway - under several trees. It has proven impossible to keep it from looking speckled with small dirt and grime. Any tips or advice for cleaning and/or prevention of this? It is a gorgeous car, and I hate to have it be polka-dotted! Thanks.

AZ MKZ h
Tree shade comes with all sorts of droppings. I use a California Duster (any brand is good just don't go cheap on it) to get dust and small stuff off without hard rubbing. For small dirt spots, buy Meguiar's "Quik Detailer Mist & Wipe"...works like magic and shines without lots of elbow grease. If you wash your own car, or for occasional cleaning, buy an Absorber rather than a real chamois (and definately not a cham-wow). The Absorber works like a chamois and better.
