Water Leak

Recommended Posts

I have a 2014 Lincoln MKZ and I have a large amount of water under my Front Passenger seat. It is also under the rear passenger side floor mat but nothing is under the front floor mat. I also checked the sunroof drains also so what could it be?

Hi Dalton and welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forums. Sorry you are having issues. I think leftoverture may be correct about a moonroof leak or blocked moonroof drain.

Just as an FYI; The "Forum Help & Suggestions" sub-forum is for help with the Forum/website itself, So your thread will be moved to the "Maintenance, Recalls & TSB's" sub-forum.

Good luck.

I don't have any specific knowledge but my first guess would be that your sunroof is leaking.

I already checked the sunroof??

Sounds like the classic leaking heater core. Same symptoms on my 1971 Buick LeSabre, 1978 Mercury Cougar, 1985 Ford Taurus, and 2005 Pontiac Grand Prix; usually when the car was 6 - 12 years old.

He said the front passenger side is dry.  Wouldn't we expect it to be wet if it was the heater core?
