leftoverture
I have a 2014 Mkz Reserve with the HD radio option. Yesterday my HD radio just quit working (yes... the feature is still turned on). Doesn't matter what HD station I tune to, it just says HD station not available and I get silence. Anyone else have this issue ever?
Multitask
As a guess, the ACM (radio/CD part) has or is going bad.... time to replace...

What is the ACM exactly? Never mind, a quick internet search tells me you are referring to the audio control module. Do you think it would be worth trying a master reset of the Sync system? Seems weird that one day is working and the next day nothing. Edited March 19, 2021 by leftoverture
Multitask
Things made by man are not perfect... but yes a master reset might help... that will clear any settings... Yes the ACM is what the CD player and radio are part of... car-part.com should let you know if a used one is available to purchase... should be cheep... 50-75 bucks

How will I know if I'm getting the part that has HD? Is there a specific order code or P/N? Will I need dealer reprogramming?

They should put a pic of the label, it will say HD technologies on it, if it does not , then it most likely is not HD Unfortunately there is no specific part #, Ford/Lincoln like to change that if you get it from the same year, then it shouldn't need programing.... in case if does there are people that can program it... the dealer will not (unless they are nice)
leftoverture
Sorry for all the questions, when I go on Car-part.com I do not see "ACM" but rather "CD player". Is that what I want?

leftoverture
Thanks. One more question... will it affect my Sirius? Will I have a new radio ID? (Btw... just did the master system reset and it did nothing to fix the HD)

(Btw... just did the master system reset and it did nothing to fix the HD) I'm not 100% sure but I would say yes it should have a new ID and it should show on the screen. If that's the case you call Sirius and let them know that you had to replace the radio and they should be able to transfer the signal. leftoverture
Multitask
What I see above does not look like what you need.... it would be taller... Although it does not show the radio, you can always ask.... but this was a search for 2014 MKZ. CD Radio with (High Def). $87 seems fair.... At least a starting point... I did a search locally here again this time for "radio" and the same part popped up as when I did "CD player". The one I found locally is only $41 so hopefully it will work. But I probably won't be able to get there until next weekend.

That is very interesting. My HD radio was working, then one day it just stopped. I supposed it is possible a computer glitch somehow deactivated it. I hate to think what the dealer will charge me to hook it up and check it, but that could be the best next step. It is a feature I used daily until it stopped working.
