LincZed
So last night coming back from the Valentines dinner I lost my brakes. They got really spongy and then i noticed smoke coming from under the hood. This morning I go out to have a look and there is what looks like fluid on the the two driver side wheels. Any ideas?? Hi LZ. My opinion? You need to have the vehicle looked at by a professional shop/tech. It is unsafe to drive and there is no reasonable way to determine the cause of the issue by blind Internet diagnosis. And even if we could, it still needs to be looked at and properly repaired by a professional shop/tech. If you have brake failure and fluid on "the the two driver side wheels", it sounds as though you could have had failures in at least the front and rear drivers-side brake lines. That would be very unusual. Even very concerning. Out of curiosity...what model year is your MKZ? You need to have the vehicle properly diagnosed by a shop. Keep us updated and good luck. LincZed
I am definitely taking it in to the dealership. Just didn't know if there was a precedent for this with Lincolns. It is a 2016.

Are you still within the 4 year/50,000 mile New Car Warranty? Keep us updated and good luck.
drolds1
That's certainly unprecedented, as far as we know here. Please keep us posted on this.
