lauraborax@yahoo.ca
My 2011 MKT is no longer detecting the key fob after having some work done on the engine. The battery was disconnected for a few hours. I'm hoping not to have to take it in to the dealer but I can't seem to find a solution. The Key Not Detected is coming on for both our key fobs. none of the buttons on the fob work. Any suggestions? Thanks.
drolds1
This is the MKZ forum. Do you have an MKZ or an MKT? That said, any Ford product with push button start can display this message. Perhaps a fuse blew when the battery was reconnected. Reprogramming by the dealer may be necessary. I assume you're familiar with the emergency starting procedure for your car.
