I am new to this forum. I bought a 2008 MKZ with stock bluetooth system.  I want to change to a stock navigation system.  Has this been done/discussed?  If so any advise?

Hi Roblinc. I would agree with Multitask. Yes, it has been done in the past. And yes, you could try to source and install a factory NAV unit from the 2008-2010 MKZ's. However, you would be buying and installing outdated equipment and technology. And the NAV unit technology and maps in those units are not even supported by Lincoln anymore. No more map updates.

So I would also recommend you call Crutchfield and speak to one of their installation experts. Tell them what you are looking for and ask what they have to fit your price range: https://www.crutchfield.com/S-lmq2IsdVCnZ/

You can also go their website beforehand, and use their fitment tools to see what is available for the 2008 MKZ: https://www.crutchfield.com/car/carselector.aspx?lp=%2fcar%2foutfitmycar%2fmycar.aspx

I can highly recommend them myself, from experience. Their customer service is excellent. They include detailed installation instructions and all necessary wiring harnesses and adapters for your particular installation. And lifetime customer support.  Their prices are also good. Not rock bottom/fire sale low, but very competitive.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.
