Harbinger Posted August 8, 2014 Share Posted August 8, 2014 Do any of you know if the wiring for the back up camera is in my car even if I don't have the camera? If the wiring is there, and I hook up a camera will it work? What I'm hoping for, is the the back up system doesn't work because it doesn't sense a camera there. Even if the wiring is there, and you install a new camera successfully, The dealership would have to do some finagling to get the screen to "recognize" the camera. They would have to find a car that has all the same APIM specific options as yours, plus a camera, then find a way to install the software made for that vehicle into yours.
