Linc4chelle
I was in the process of changing my cabin filter and I was taking the screw out the left side of the filter door when a stray neighborhood cat/kitten decided my leg needed pouncing. When I positioned to see what was going on, my hand hit something AND I DROPPED THE SCREWDRIVER and it fell down in the hole beside the glovebox in the center. I reached my hand in and could not feel it. I started taking trim off, but decided to research it before I tore something up. I have no idea what's in that area and know I need to get the screwdriver out. So, does anyone know if there is a guide or something for panel removals? Not sure exactly where you need access to, so don't know if this will help. It shows how to remove some of the center console trim to gain access to the center stack. It may help you get to a point that you can open up the right side of the console/centerstack to gain access to where you need. EDIT - Oooops...link did not stick first time. Here it is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_AuGTOeO1A Let us know how you make out and good luck. Linc4chelle, have you tried a magnet on a string to retrieve the screwdriver?

I do have some mini ball magnets that are rather strong- I was thinking to put them in a knee hi (stocking) and lowering them in that way I'd have something long enough to pull back out. Thanks for responding. bbf2530, thanks for responding but I didn't see a link or anything.
Linc4chelle
I wanted to post a couple of pics. The first highlighted in red, is the area it fell in. The second area highlighted in white is where I believe it is now. If I could get the cream panel that's beside the glovebox off, I will probably see it. If I pull all the stuff he pulled out, I don't think I'd still be able see the screwdriver. I did watch a video were a guy had ALL the panels off, but it was off at the start so no help--but I could see that down below was the actual floorboard so I'm wondering if it just fell down to the bottom. Thanks for the response.

Let us know how you make out and good luck. Linc4chelle
Linc4chelle
Well, I ended up ordering a $20 endoscope snake camera with a magnetic attachment to get the screwdriver out. Thanks for the responses. Edited December 2, 2020 by Linc4chelle kramf411 and leftoverture
