Donnyo
Hi all 3.0 drivers. Is there anyone who can explain the dipstick location? I recently had a tranny flush and seemed it only required 6 quarts. The dealer quoted 12. I’m thinking they would not have shorted themselves. Don’t know what happed there. MKZ 3.0 22000 miles. drolds1
22K is a bit early for a trans fluid change but I'm sure you had a good reason. The location of the dipstick is described in your owner's guide under MAINTENANCE>AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION FLUID CHECK> 6F50/6F55 Transmission. If you don't have an OG, you can download one here. If you haven't done so, it would also be a good idea to register on the Lincoln Owner site.
Donnyo
Thanks. Oddly my hard copy OM doesn’t specify the remove air filter assembly to access..the online does. Yes I thought to do this because it a new to me car. Thanks again.
drolds1
You're welcome. I haven't looked in the hard copy for my car. I'll check it when I remember. The online version is supposedly the latest edition. What year is your MKZ? Did you check your fluid level?

Donnyo
I’ve had the 2.0 Fusion with the transaxle measure. PITA but this looks like I need small hands even when removing air box Anyone done this?
Donnyo
It shifts better. With the new tranny fluid it’s worth doing. This is an amazing sedan say what? Change your fluids guys.
