Krasnaya
I just took over my wife's 2015 MKZ. Still learning about the car. It has the black metallic paint which is totally gorgeous. Has the V6 engine, which I really like. Regrettably, it doesn't appear to have the built-in modem for use with the Lincoln Way app. Any tips on the car greatly appreciated. kramf411
Great tips are all over the forum - not sure what you are looking for. But if you mean tips on having Lincoln Way into your 2015, you may have to convert your system. As an example: By the way, Congrats on your new ride. Welcome! Krasnaya
Thanks. It is a beautiful car and drives like a dream. Ahead of its time in many ways as a 2015. Has digital tach and speedo, adaptive cruise control, lanekeeping and collision warning, front parking sensor, parking assist, and much more. Regrettably it does not support Lincoln Way or Apple CarPlay, which is sort of the hallmark of current 2020-2021 cars. Can't have everything. Synch 2 is not bad; I have been using it for years on our 2012 Ford Explorer (my former ride). From what I can see there is no practical way to upgrade the car to get those features. CarPlay would have been nice. Far from the end of the world, and as I said, the car drives and handles superbly and looks fantastic.

Welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum and congratulations on your "new" MKZ. The thread and video that kramf linked to shows how you can self upgrade your MyLincolnTouch SYNC system to SYNC 3, which will give you Apple CarPlay. You will need to replace hardware. The how-to video explains everything. Good luck with your MKZ! Edited November 5, 2020 by bbf2530 CDW6212R
leftoverture
Congrats on the new ride. I inherited my 2014 from my wife also. We love our MKZ. We have driven it many thousands of miles on some long road trips and it make for a very comfortable cruiser. Wish I had the V6 though! It dose not support Apple Car Play in the normal way with but if you press and hold the Voice Command button it should go to your Siri on your phone if connected with Bluetooth and you will be able to text, make calls or even play your music...
