2017 AWD 2.0T MKZ PERFORMANCE UPGRADES

Recommended Posts

I have a 2017 2.0t awd mkz and I absolutely love it. 3 months into owning the only problem I have is finding aftermarket mods for it. I'm looking for more turbo noise not to worried about exhaust since it is a 4 cylinder and I don't think there's any exhaust that will sound good. I would like to find a company that makes a front splitter rear diffuser and a small spoiler. Lighting upgrades and definitely audio upgrades. Below is my mkz so if anybody can help point me in the right direction that would be greatly appreciated.

Hi M.owens and welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum!

What sort of lighting upgrades are you looking for? What is on the car now, HID or LED?

Audio upgrades are generally a little limited, due to the SYNC 3 infotainment interface. I would recommend first taking a look at Crutchfield to see what they advise will work: https://www.crutchfield.com/S-cYGvQlQ68Ev/

Once you have a general idea what will work well, you can go from there.

As far as "turbo noise", I guess you could go with some sort of blow-off valve. It will serve no purpose other than noise (and may/will also cause warranty issues if you should later have any engine problems) but if that is what you want, that is what you will get. You could also install some sort of aftermarket air intake. Again, it will serve no performance purpose and offer no additional power benefits, but you will get more intake noise. Same warnings about possible/probable warranty issues if you have engine problems later though.

You may not find much listed strictly for the MKZ when you do Google searches for performance parts, since the MKZ is a relatively low production model. However, if you also search for performance parts for the Fusion 2.0 EcoBoost engine, those parts are interchangeable with the MKZ 2.0T and more available in many cases.

Sorry for the general nature of the advice I have to offer. I'm sure other forum members will jump in with their own advice and recommendations.

Also, if you do a forum site search for what you are looking for, you will find many previous threads concerning some of what you are looking for.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.
