esqueue
I purchased a backlight emblem for my 2017 mkz from https://www.raymaxgear.com/products/lincoln-led-radiant-emblem-front-grille-badge-light?variant=31761139138614 It seems that they raised the price by $30 and offer a $10 discount.... I had to pull the front bumper to install better hid bulbs so I decided to add this while the bumper is off. I used t-taps to connect to the side marker light for power. It looks awesome but at that new price, you'd think that they would match the color a bit better. It is a cooler white than the existing lights. dargiv
17MKZ3.0TT
Probably be a little more tasteful if it were less bright, regardless of light temperature. They may have figured if the they were going to have that price point to make it worth developing, buyers might be disappointed with anything that didn't jump right out. I think it looks good. I suck at taking night pictures with my phone and it is actually the same brightness as the OEM lights. Take a closer look at the second picture and notice how the camera makes the OEM light too bright too. In real life, you can see more detail with the OEM lights and you can actually make out the Lincoln Emblem quite easily. The only thing that could improved is the color but the brightness is on point. Edit: I've separated your response from the quote box since you combined the two. When using the Quote function, begin typing your response below the quotation in the enclosure. Otherwise, it gets confusing. 17MKZ3.0TT
Should have been part of the original grill, but Ford probably needed that for the bigger one ?
dargiv
Which color wire did you t-tap your positive wire too on your side marker light? And where did you connect your negative? I just brought one and was trying to figure out how to wire.
esqueue
I used the yellow marker lights on the side. I honestly don't remember 100% but I put a t-tap on both wires and used a multimeter to tell them apart. I believe that the there was a black wire which was tested to be ground. esqueue
Beautiful car!!! How do you like the lights? Do the colors match up on yours? Your pictures show that they match. Yeah, it's especially awesome to pull up and park next to another MKZ. I guarantee they will ask questions.
