TomV
I've seen a few pictures of MKZ's with an arch support in the trunk. Is this something earlier model years had or something the 3.0L AWD models come with for added chassis stiffness? My 2019 2.0L doesn't have it and I'm just curious. fusionff
Mine has the support, and I'm pretty sure it's due to the Panoramic Roof. I do also have the AWD 3.0. . It is not a 3.0L AWD engine thing. My non-panoramic roof, 2018, 3.0L AWD does not have the arch support. Seems good odds that fusionff is correct that it is an addition for those MKZ's with the panoramic roof. Good luck. kramf411
I have it. 2017 3.0T AWD with Panoramic roof. Edited September 1, 2020 by kramf411
Robert Iggy Cerami
Having had 3 previous MKZs... My 2020 3.0 AWD with Pano roof has the arches .. They other models did not have the arches or pano roof, not a fan of the roof or the loss of space in the trunk ..only positive is they placed the trunk light in front of the arches and closer to the middle of the trunk so it dose not get covered up as much as the other models ..also rear window is smaller on the inside with pano roof
