Multitask
So this happened once before and again this Sunday I took my car to the car wash... the one that you just drive up to , pay and drive it through. I got out to pay (easyer that way) put it in park running, paid, then when I got back in , it displayed that it did not see the keyfob (that is / was / and always in my pocket) Tried to put it in Drive, but it wouldn't let me (a good thing if someone tries to steal it) , nothing was working... so I took it out and waved it about.. nothing.... put it in the cup holder (loose) and then it saw it.... it's been fine since.. I'm getting the oil changed next weekend and I will let them know... but in case someone has had this issue before, I'm posting it here... it's almost 6 months old ... so 'maybe' a keyfob battery... but based on age, I doubt it... kramf411
May not help you but I'm just curious, did the vehicle honk while you were moving away from the vehicle? It always startles me when I forget to leave the keyfob by the cupholder while leaving the car with the engine on.
Multitask
Nope, it did the 'honk' while I was in the car... I've had it do it, after closing the door. as long as you leave the door open it will not honk. IN this case, I opened the door, and reached over to insert the cash.. maybe a foot or 2 from the car. Then got back in, so I really never walked away from the car. and that might be why... but I've done that before and no issues... ?
Chris109
Mine did this a couple of times since I've had it. All I did was wave it around like you then it would work. Maybe interference from your phone? Probably just a one time thing (for this month anyway).
Multitask
Like I said, I'll mention it to them, see how they react
