The drivers side lower fascia is open on the 3.0T for the oil cooler, closed on the 2.0T and Hybrid models.

Based on the size and location of it, that makes more sense.  Looks correct based on Ford parts catalog.  However, an enlarged version doesn't seem to show fins in the front.  I'm a little confused now.  image.png.8dae0f6e01d315a71e18e81b19c6e15f.png

Hi Jim. An oil cooler...or air duct to an oil cooler, did not even occur to me. ?

Hi gang. Although it is already verified by several of you, I will add that my 3.0T's drivers side lower front fascia is also open.

I would only add a theory (unless someone definitely knows it is intercooler related), that perhaps the duct is actually for the air intake snorkel? I state that theory because my understanding until now would be that the intercooler takes air from the upper and lower grille opening, exactly like the engine radiator. So perhaps (and I may be entirely wrong), that duct behind the lower left fascia is for the air intake snorkel?

Good luck.
