Multitask
So I got a new phone, the Samsung S20+ Took a little to figure out why AA was crashing, but it was because I didn't allow USB connections (in a nut shell) BUT, now I'm trying to figure out by the voice comes out of the phone and not through the stereo. I'm sure I'll figure it out... but maybe someone else has had this issue and knows the answer. ?
Multitask
Ok, I did figure out why it was doing that. The Samsung has AA built in, but I did not know that, so I installed the CAR version of it. This was forcing the sound to come out of the phone. Uninstalling that, it now works.... and oddly more sound comes out of the center speaker now than it used to with the Pixel 3XL , YAY
Chris109
I wasn't getting any sound thru the speakers also. It used to work. But, I don't know if it had started after updating to a new version. What I have discovered now, is that, I do not get any alerts etc from Waze unless I am listening to AA. If I have music playing from USB, or the car radio on, there are no alerts, no matter what I do I do think this is a common problem with AA. It might depend on what phone, what version of the OS... my Pixel 3XL ran just fine with AA. Once I for the S20plus, I did see that AA was not an icon on the screen nor something to uninstall.... this is why I installed what I saw (just in case) but it ended up not what I thought it was... although Google Maps still thinks I'm yards from where I am.... it happened with the P2XL P3XL in my 2013 and 2018 FFH's and now the S20plus in my MKZ-H, so I know it's not the car nor the phone... it's Maps... a route keep me on the road... but while I'm driveing around, it thinks I should be turning left.... Even WAZE does it.... I've reported it... but they faulted me not the AA or phones....

Now that I think about it, I don't get alerts on GMaps either. I never even have the opportunity to adjust the 'prompt volume', only regular volume. I have an LG Stylo 4 (Pie). I even tried it on an LG Fiesta 2 (Oreo) recently and it doesn't work on that one either.

AA has a toggle for it (saw that a couple days ago) so maybe it's on there now... or... coming soon
