Harbinger
Do any of you know where the microphone for the voice command thing is? It's an odd feeling just yelling into the either. I have the 2014 3.7L Edited July 7, 2014 by Harbinger Connie Farina
SteveB_TX
It's in the overhead console. See the little slotted area on the left side? That's it! :)
EatDirtFartDust
The accoustics for the microphone are set that you should be able to just talk directly into the windshield ahead of you, and the microphone will pick it up just fine.

In theory anyway! :) It is also best to make sure your windows and moonroof are closed as well. Any loud noises will keep sync from understanding you, even if you scream your freaking head off! LOL :)

If the HVAC fan is running the failure rate is well above 75%. Are you sure the microphone isn't located in the fan housing? :) 4N1M4L
4N1M4L
Can you not go through the voice training on the 13-14 version? My 10 never had a real problem, as long as I spoke a little loudly if the air was going. Never had to yell. Once the car is cooled off its normal speech for me. The my Lincoln touch is one of the factors that keeps me from upgrading. The sync system with touch screen (10-12) is awesome.
kpod
The current system does not have a "voice training" feature. 1984Poke
1984Poke
My 2009 MKS had a voice training thing and I looked for it on my '13 MKZ-H and then finally decided it just didn't have that feature. However, even without it, my MKZ-H seems to work just fine most of the time.
JoeBrown
I'm sure because of the improvements since 2009 they found it unnecessary to have a voice training feature. Voice recognition for me is very good.
bman1111
I do not understand why the microphone is not placed in front of the driver or at least in the center stack. People should be looking forward and not up, when they are driving. Also, since the sync system controls the climate control, why can't it momentarily lower the fan speed when sync is listening? These are simple improvements that work make the system friendlier to use.
