Looking for the factory set keyless entry code, for my 2017 Lincoln mkz. I bought used , and doesn't have the wallet card inside. I know I can go to the dealer and pay. I also know its hidden somewhere on car. Does anyone know where?

Hi MKING. Welcome to the Lincoln MKZ Forum. Just as an FYI, the "Forum Help & Suggestions" sub-forum is for help and questions about the Ford Fusion Forum itself.  So your thread will be moved to the "Key Fobs & Locks" sub-forum.

To answer your question: If you have two programmed keyfobs, you can obtain the keyless entry code yourself. The instructions are in your Owners Manual. If you do not have the Owners Manual, you can download the PDF version here: https://www.fleet.ford.com/parts-service/resources/owner-manuals/

A tip: For some reason, the code is sometimes displayed backwards.  So if the displayed code does not work, enter the numbers backwards.

If you only have one key, you will need to have the code retrieved by a Lincoln/Ford Dealer. If you purchased your MKZ from a Lincoln or Ford Dealer and they only gave you one key, they should provide the code to you for no charge.

The code on earlier model years used to be on a sticker which was located on the passenger compartment fuse box. That is no longer the case.

You can also find multiple existing threads about this subject, if you do a site search.

Also, if you only have one keyfob, it would be highly advisable to purchase and have a second (and even a third) cut and programmed now.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

I have two fobs , and I have owners manual.  No where in the manual says how to find factory key code. It says with the factory key code I can create my own. I have to get the factory code first.  So unless anyone else has an Idea, I guess I'm going to have to take it to the dealer.

Hi MKING. Read just a little further in your Owners Manual. The instructions for retrieving the factory code are shortly after the instructions to program personal codes.  The next page or two in the PDF and print versions.

Good luck.
